Suzanne Anderson is an author, blogger, and publishing consultant. When she published her first book in 1997, she learned just how little information there was on how to self-publish in Canada. Her book  Self Publishing in Canada: A complete guide to designing, printing and selling your book is now in its second edition. It is a step-by-step guide to publishing your own book with current information for today’s self-publisher.

Suzanne has made presentations at Word On The Street in Vancouver, the Pacific Festival of the Book in Victoria, the Royal City Book Festival in New Westminster, and the Okanagan Valley Writers’ Festival in Penticton. She has also made presentations to the Independent Publishers Association of Canada in Calgary. She conducts workshops throughout British Columbia.

Suzanne is a member of the Federation of BC Writers and the Cowichan Writer’s Group.

Learning to self-publish…

“When I self-published my first book  I didn’t want to make expensive mistakes, so I read all the books I could find about how to self-publish. I started taking courses on publishing – a practice that I continue today. I wrote Self Publishing in Canada to share what I had learned. In 2011 I wrote a second edition of what my readers started to call The Self Publishing Book to give self-publishers up-to-date information. This year I brought out the third edition with a whole chapter on ebooks.”

Reaching out to others…
