I found this information online at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office website. You can register the book under a pseudonym, but must use your proper mailing address. You will want to keep proof of your work including dated drafts and outlines, dated research records used to create the work, names of those you shared the work with at different stages, and all written records of any agreements you entered into about the work. Mailing a registered copy of the work is not sufficient proof that the work is yours.

Anonymity

If you are the author of the work as well as the owner of the copyright of the work, and you wish to remain anonymous, you may use a pseudonym in place of your name. Note that you must still include a complete mailing address.
