Today begins National Novel Writing Month – NaNoWriMo. The goal is to write a novel in one month. To do that, you need to write nearly 2,700 words a day! That’s a lot of words.

NaNoWriMo has been going on for many years and yes, some people do actually manage to get their novel written in a month. They have a plan and then it’s ‘bums in seats’ time to get it written. Presumably it’s a first draft and will need revision, but some writers have actually finished and revised their work in 30 days. What a feat!
